The short version. Nebulacraft Labs does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal information through KnightCheck. There is no account, no server of ours, and no analytics. KnightCheck's App Store Connect App Privacy label reads "Data Not Collected."
Who this covers
This policy covers KnightCheck, the iOS chess-review app published by Nebulacraft Labs Ltd. For Embly or Whole Story, see each app's own policy, linked from nebulacraftlabs.com/privacy.
What we collect
Nothing. KnightCheck has no analytics service, no crash-reporting service, no advertising SDK, and no third-party trackers of any kind. We run no servers, so there is nowhere for your information to be sent to us.
When KnightCheck talks to the internet
KnightCheck has no account and no sign-in. Its only optional feature is importing your own games: if you type your Chess.com or Lichess username, the app fetches the games you have already played in public on that service, so it can show you your own mistakes. That request goes directly from your device to Chess.com or Lichess — never through a server of ours, because we don't run one. What leaves your device is the username you typed and nothing else: no name, no email, no device identifier, no location. If you never type a username, KnightCheck never contacts anyone.
Those two services have their own privacy policies covering what they log when your device asks them for something, and we have no visibility into that.
Where your data lives
The games you import and your review history are written to KnightCheck's private app storage on your device — shared, through an App Group container, with its widget so it can show your last game. We cannot see any of it, and the app works fully offline once your games are on the device.
If you have iCloud Backup enabled, iOS may include this data in your device backup. That backup is between you and Apple under Apple's privacy policy — we have no access to it.
Data you export yourself
KnightCheck lets you share any imported game as standard PGN through the iOS share sheet, so it opens in any other chess app or site. This is the one path by which your data can leave your device, and you are the one who opens it. Once shared, that file is governed by whatever service you sent it to, not by this policy.
Purchases
KnightCheck has no purchases, no subscriptions, and no ads. Every feature is available for free.
Notifications
KnightCheck sends no notifications, local or push.
Children
KnightCheck is not directed at children under 13, and since we collect no personal information from anyone, we collect none from children.
Your rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to return or erase.
Your data is in your hands: you can delete any imported game inside the app, and deleting the app removes everything it stored.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date above. If a future release ever collects anything, we will say so here plainly and before it ships.
