Privacy Policy

Embly keeps your habits on your iPhone. There's no account and no server of ours — the only network traffic it makes is Apple's own, to process a purchase.

Last updated 25 September 2026

The short version. Nebulacraft Labs does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal information through Embly. Everything you track stays on your device. There is no account to create, nothing to log into, and no server of ours for your data to travel to.

Who this covers

This policy covers Embly, the iOS and iPadOS habit tracker published by Nebulacraft Labs Ltd. For KnightCheck or Whole Story, see each app's own policy, linked from nebulacraftlabs.com/privacy.

What we collect

Nothing. Embly has no analytics service, no crash-reporting service, no advertising SDK, and no third-party trackers of any kind.

When Embly talks to the internet

Embly contains no networking code of its own — it cannot send your habits, logs, or settings anywhere. The one exception is Apple's own StoreKit framework, which Embly uses to check and process a purchase. That traffic goes directly from your device to Apple; we never see it.

Where your data lives

The habits, logs, and settings you create are written to a local database inside Embly's private app storage — shared, through an App Group container, with Embly's Home Screen widget so it can show the same data. We cannot see any of it. Nobody at Nebulacraft Labs can read what you record.

If you have iCloud Backup enabled, iOS may include this data in your device backup. That backup is between you and Apple under Apple's privacy policy — we have no access to it.

Data you export yourself

Embly lets you export your own data — a full backup of your habits and history — through the standard iOS share sheet, so you can save it to Files, AirDrop it, or send it anywhere you like. This is the one path by which your data can leave your device, and you are the one who opens it.

Once you have exported a file and sent it somewhere, it is governed by whatever service you sent it to, not by this policy. Our involvement ends when the share sheet closes.

Purchases

Embly offers a one-time lifetime unlock and two auto-renewing subscriptions (monthly and yearly). Whichever you choose, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We never see your name, payment details, or Apple Account. We receive only Apple's confirmation that a purchase for this device is valid. Purchases are covered by Apple's privacy policy.

Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them. Managing, cancelling, or requesting a refund for a subscription all happen in your Apple Account settings, not in the app — we have no ability to see or change your subscription status, only whether this device is currently entitled to the paid features.

Notifications

If you turn on habit reminders, they are scheduled locally by iOS on your device as repeating daily alerts. They are not push notifications — no server is involved and no information is transmitted to set one.

Children

Embly is not directed at children under 13, and since we collect no personal information from anyone, we collect none from children.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to return or erase.

Your data is in your hands: you can delete any habit or entry inside the app, and deleting the app removes everything it stored.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date above. If a future release ever collects anything, we will say so here plainly and before it ships.
